Welcome to this outdoor adventure blog! T.B. Pug here \u2014 by day, I work in IT as a GIS Server Admin \u2014 a career that conveniently lets me build custom trail maps and plan future adventures on the side. In addition, I’m a lifelong pug lover. I created this site partly to honor my pug Molly, who brought endless joy to my life before passing away a few years ago. A new four-legged trail companion has recently joined the pack!<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

As for the outdoors, my journey has evolved quite a bit over the years. I started out with jet skis and boats, but eventually traded motors for paddles. Now, I prefer the peace of a quiet spring run or a backcountry trail over anything with an engine. In particular, my kayak of choice is a Hobie Compass \u2014 and yes, it has a sail kit for those flat, clear water days.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

The big goal right now is exploring the Appalachian Trail<\/strong><\/a> and searching for hidden waterfalls. Back in September 2024, I made my first attempt \u2014 pushing as far as Tray Mountain Shelter before an old ankle injury forced me to turn back. After that, I underwent surgery and spent several months in recovery and physical therapy. Finally, in June of 2025, my doctor gave me the green light to hike again. I’m back at it now, but taking it easy with a new pug and a rooftop tent for our adventures.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

This outdoor adventure blog is for you. Whether you kayak, hike, or simply love the outdoors, there’s something here. You’ll find trip reports, gear reviews, and trail maps. There are also honest stories from someone who fits adventures into everyday life. The goal is to inspire others to get outside and explore at their own pace.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
