A fun day on Juniper! (Forewarning, some of these videos have cursing in them) This is only the 2nd time I’ve done this run, but it’s stunning! And this trip was the moment I decided to start my blog. If you’re scared of wildlife, this is not the run for you. You’ll generally see gators laying on the shoreline in the grass along the sides, which are quite close to you in the narrow channels. But they don’t bother you unless you bother them. Let’s begin with “launching”. We met a Forestry official named Bob, he was super nice and gave a lot of useful tips!
The scenery on this trail is amazing and it’s generally not too busy. The current is quite strong, so we had to find a downed tree trunk to rest at for a bit, grab a bite to eat and taken in the views.

And continuing the trail, we needed to stop somewhere for something, totally forget what it was but it wasn’t the “paddle rescue” mentioned in the video. This gives you a good idea of the area. The sides of the spring run has sand that is crazy soft, I got out 6 inches from where the waterline ends and my foot sunk in 1 foot of sand. Yes, there’s a lot going on, we’re a disaster (but fun) when we all hang out together. LOLOL

And finally, here’s a “Turtle on a Log” for your viewing pleasure! 💚 The wildlife is so cool and chill here. And yeah, the water changed to brackish, but it tends to flip flop between clear and brackish depending on how wide of a channel you’re in.
And yes, at the 5 minute mark, you can tell we’re a little crazy & nuts. 🤣
